Accounting Clerk

The Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and timely candidate to join our accounting team as an Accounting Clerk.

Part of Milwaukee-based Marcus Hotels & Resorts, the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel in downtown Lincoln has served Nebraska's capital city for nearly 90 years and is a benchmark for hospitality.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of customer statements by posting accounts, allowances, refunds, and payments. Review guest ledger accounts for timely payment receipts.
  • Perform data entry and posting to accounts.
  • Run statements and verify information.
  • File and organize payroll files.

What you will bring to the role?

  • Two-year college degree in Accounting preferred or 1-2 years experience in an accounting role.
  • Good working knowledge of Hospitality accounting systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems and programs such as PeopleSoft, Excel, etc.
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to think and act independently.
  • Proficiency with calculator, PC, and keyboard.
