The Accounting Clerk is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions at the hotel, ensuring timely processing of invoices and handling hotel deposits in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards. Additionally, the clerk assists the Property Accountant with administration of the accounting area, including Accounts Payable, Human Resources, and Payroll.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Approach all guest and employee encounters in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance and high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Ensure timely processing and mailing of hotel billing.
  • Follow up on new billings and outstanding accounts to maintain Accounts Receivable aging.
  • Generate aging reports as directed.
  • Maintain filing systems for billing and assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable administration.
  • Participate in credit meetings and provide account status updates.
  • Assist with Human Resources issues, including new hire paperwork, payroll, and benefits administration.
  • Handle sensitive information and access to confidential areas and data responsibly.
