Position Description
Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk will support accounting functions, primarily performing fundamental data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process expense reports.
  • Assist with cash reconciliation tasks.
  • Manage reminders for payroll and expense reports, including working some hours every other weekend.
  • Support the preparation and submission of 1099 reports.
  • Maintain vendor profiles.
  • Track hours for subcontractors and run labor batches.
  • Perform Accounts Payable data entry tasks.
  • Add and manage indirect labor codes.
  • Assist with GL entries and support month-end closing activities.
  • Post payments to AR accounts.
  • Map travel expenses to credit cards and manage billing related to travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the accounting manager.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or a related field required; a bachelor’s degree in progress is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for resolving accounting issues.
  • Attention to detail and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with JAMIS Prime is preferred.
  • Willingness to work outside core hours as needed.

Supervision and Environment
The role reports to the Accounting Manager and involves extensive computer use in an office setting, requiring good communication skills.
