Job summary

SAN-Gorgonio-Memorial-Hospital in California is seeking an Assistant Payroll Specialist to support the Finance Team. You will process garnishments, handle payable and payroll items, and respond to employee and vendor inquiries.

You will prepare statistical reports, maintain payroll records, and assist with document management. Experience with ADP or Kronos and strong MS Office skills are required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting all members of the Finance Team in their duties. Processes garnishments. Assist in filing all payable, general ledger and payroll related items. Responds to employee and vendor inquiries. Prepares various statistical reports for both internal and external use.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Reviews employee timecards for accuracy and completeness, and contacts appropriate departments to acquire any missing information.
• Maintain files and assists in document management.
• Receives and promptly processes all garnishment paperwork. This includes responses to the agencies and copies sent to the associates.
• Receives and answers inquiries from staff and vendors.
• Prepares a variety of statistical reports, including productivity report, governmental mandated reports and any other necessary reports in a timely manner. Provides assistance in the preparation of other reports as requested.
• Assists in maintaining permanent records of payroll and other financial information.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Some college education preferred.

Licensure:

Experience:

• Payroll experience in ADP, Kronos, or other computerized payroll device.
• The ability to communicate effectively, problem-solving and handle confidential information is required.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Suite

PAY / BENEFITS

Pay Range=$20 to $26 per hour, DOE.

• Estimated pay is based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
