Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to lead an Accounting BI workstream. You will guide technical direction, mentor engineers, and own end-to-end automation frameworks integrating AWS and data services to surface anomalies for global Accountants.

You will set the BI/AI development strategy, drive GenAI adoption, and ensure high engineering standards through design and code reviews. Strong SQL, Python, and multi-TB data experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in data/BI roles.
• Experience processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data processing.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Accounting workstream, partnering with non-technical partners to understand processes and metrics, guide BI direction and deliver results.
• Define the BI and AI development strategy, driving GenAI adoption while maintaining quality and controllership.
• Design and build reusable BI/ETL and GenAI frameworks to scale across Accounting BIEs.
• Own the BI Python codebase and end-to-end automation frameworks, integrating AWS and data services.
• Mentor BIEs, lead design and code reviews, raise engineering standards.
• Coordinate with Accounting Data Engineering, Fintech Managers, and PMs to align BI with roadmaps.
