Job summary

ODDITY in New York seeks an Accounting Associate to own financial accounting and recordkeeping for designated units, with cross-functional exposure across departments and brands in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.

You will support budgeting, monthly closes, reconciliations, and US GAAP reporting, participate in audits, and help enhance reporting efficiency through automation and new tools, while upholding internal controls and SOX compliance.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate or 1–3 years in FP&A, public accounting or corporate finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field with high academic achievement
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling and accounting practices
  • Experience with tools like Looker, Claude, ERP systems or Alteryx is a plus
  • CPA is a great advantage but not required

Responsibilities

  • Oversee entry of financial records into ERP system and internal databases
  • Maintain reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and prepare GL entries
  • Manage all accounts payable activity including vendor onboarding and invoice approvals
  • Monitor cash flows and perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual closings and inventory reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports and KPI analyses
  • Assist with audits, including preparation of working papers
  • Prepare leadership reports highlighting KPIs and trends
  • Contribute to budgeting, reforecasting and variance analyses
  • Strengthen internal controls and SOX compliance

Job description

ODDITY is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our New York based team. You will assume complete ownership of all financial accounting and recordkeeping procedures for designated business units. While you will provide ongoing support across all aspects of financial planning and reporting, you will also have cross-functional exposure to each department and brand at ODDITY. This is a high-visibility role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Oversee entry of financial records into ERP system and other internal databases with a high degree of organization and timeliness
  • Maintain accurate and detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and prepare general ledger entries
  • Manage all accounts payable activity, including new vendor onboarding and invoice approval processes
  • Monitor cash flows and perform daily bank reconciliations
  • Support all monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing procedures, including global inventory reconciliation, intercompany account reconciliations, analysis of aged open balances and other related workstreams
  • Analyze business performance across product categories, funnels and geographies
  • Build monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
  • Support quarterly and year-end audits, including preparation of audit working papers
  • Prepare monthly reports for leadership teams - highlighting KPIs, trends and insights
  • Implement processes to enhance reporting efficiency, including automation and implementation of new tools
  • Assist with budgeting, reforecasting and variance analysis across departments
  • Strengthen internal controls framework and processes, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Recent graduate with relevant coursework or 1 - 3 years of experience in FP&A, public accounting or corporate finance, investment banking, preferably in a high-growth environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field of study with a record of high academic achievement at a top university
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling and accounting practices
  • Experience with tools like Looker, Claude, ERP systems or Alteryx is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, plus the ability to see the bigger strategic picture
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset - someone who asks "What's next?" instead of waiting for direction
  • Eager to learn and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • CPA – a great advantage but not required
