Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions.

Prior dealership experience is preferred, and a strong understanding of basic accounting principles is helpful. You'll reconcile daily cash, process deposits, and manage journal entries, while working across departments to ensure seamless financial operations and

• Prior dealership accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile and process daily cash, credit card, and deposit transactions.
• Post miscellaneous bank items such as fundings, reserves, warranty payments, and credit card fees.
• Manage dealer exchanges (DX), including paperwork processing and certificate of origin completion.
• Prepare and post used car wholesale transactions including title reassignment and receipting of fundings.
• Accurately post new vehicle invoices into inventory systems.
• Post all used vehicle auction purchases into accounting software.
• Review and reconcile assigned accounting schedules on a weekly basis.

• Prepare and post used car wholesale transactions including title reassignment and receipting of fundings.

What We Look For

• Prior experience in an automotive dealership environment is strongly preferred


• Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge and familiarity with general accounting practices


• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and dealership management systems is a plus


• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments
