Job summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented Deal Biller/Poster to join our accounting team in Bethesda. You will post all vehicle sales to the accounting system, verify paperwork, and ensure regulatory compliance to support month-end closings and audits.

The role requires careful record-keeping, collaboration with sales and finance, and proactive handling of discrepancies. A background in automotive accounting and Excel proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accounting role, preferably in automotive retail.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Reynolds and Reynolds (preferred) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Post all vehicle sales (new and used) to the accounting system.
• Verify and reconcile deal paperwork for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal vehicle sale regulations.
• Maintain organized records of all transactions for reporting and audits.
• Collaborate with sales and finance to resolve discrepancies in deals.

Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Deal Biller/Poster to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for accurately posting all vehicle sales to the accounting system, verifying and reconciling deal paperwork, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining organized transaction records. This position plays a key role in supporting financial reporting, month-end closing procedures, and audit processes.

• Accurately post all vehicle sales, including new and used cars, to the accounting system.
• Verify and reconcile deal paperwork to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding vehicle sales and financing.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all transactions for easy retrieval and reporting.
• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to resolve discrepancies or issues in vehicle sales and financing deals.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures, ensuring all deals are properly posted and reconciled.
• Support financial reporting, including preparation for audits and other financial reviews.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the dealership adheres to all legal requirements.

What we look for

• Previous experience in an accounting role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency with Reynolds and Reynolds (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
