Job summary

Iowa 80 Group is seeking an Accounting Associate to join the Accounting Department at its Walcott, IA headquarters. The role focuses on processing accounts payable invoices for multiple companies and providing accurate, timely sales information to help managers run profitable centers.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in accounting and at least one year of accounting experience, with strong math skills and proficiency in Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• An associate’s degree in accounting is a plus.
• 1 year of Accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Must have excellent mathematical skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft WORD and EXCEL or similar software.
• Well-organized and disciplined, yet flexible when appropriate.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to get along with diverse personalities.

Responsibilities

• Process and pay accounts payable invoices for multiple companies.
• Collaborate with Accounting Management, Profit Center Managers, and Vendors for invoice processing.
• Verify and audit the sales daily of each assigned department.
• Analyze payments, discounts, coupons, and cash paid-outs.
• Accurate daily posting of cash deposits.
• Ensure that cash, credit card, and other payments are paid and properly applied.
• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Iowa 80 Group Controller and Assistant Treasurer.
• Work with Company Leadership to ensure the success of Iowa 80 Group.

This full-time position will be at Iowa 80 Group Headquarters, Walcott, Iowa, home of the World's Largest Truckstop.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Drug test and background check are required.
