Job summary

Masemp is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our finance team north of Keene, NH, on a long-term temporary assignment through May 2027. The role offers responsibilities across AP/AR, month-end tasks, and year-end close preparation in a collaborative office.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting support experience, a related Associate degree or equivalent, and strong Excel skills, plus familiarity with QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting support.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and spreadsheet management.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, or similar systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable transactions, vendor invoices, and payment activities.
• Manage accounts receivable functions, customer invoicing, and collection follow-up.
• Prepare and maintain 1099 documentation, W-9 records, and compliance-related files.
• Perform reconciliations, maintain accurate financial records, and support daily accounting activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures alongside the accounting leadership team.
• Track required vendor documentation, including certificates of insurance.
• Help ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and recordkeeping.
