Summary Provides advanced accounting support by performing complex financial transactions, reconciling accounts, supporting financial reporting, and assisting with process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to research and resolve financial inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner. Execute full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including coding, matching/approvals, posting, and payment application in accordance with policy. Reconcile assigned general ledger and subledger accounts; investigate discrepancies, resolve root causes, and prepare or propose correcting entries. Prepare routine and adjusting journal entries with proper supporting documentation and required approvals; maintain audit-ready files. Create and maintain accurate vendor and customer master data, including terms, tax forms (e.g., W-9/1099 coding), and contact details. Support month-end and year-end close by preparing schedules, accruals/deferrals, rollforwards, and reconciliations; track progress on close checklists. Prepare and update standard financial reports and Excel spreadsheets (e.g., AP/AR aging, cash receipts, expense summaries) using appropriate formulas and formatting. Monitor outstanding receivables, issue statements/dunning notices, and coordinate follow-ups with internal teams to reduce past-due balances. Ensure adherence to GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls; maintain proper documentation, approvals, and segregation of duties.
