Job summary

UT Health Sciences seeks an Accounting Assistant to provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support at Le Bonheur Hospital. You will handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, travel, ledgers, deposits, inventory, and asset management.

The role coordinates requests for UT employees and faculty, and requires an Associate’s degree with at least two years of accounting experience. Confidentiality and SOP adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field (Transcript required).
• Two years of accounting experience reconciling grant and contract expenditures.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four years.

Responsibilities

• Process and approve purchase orders, vendor requests, invoices, and related forms for compliance.
• Maintain vendor information in the DASH system and enter credit memos.
• Reconcile and code procurement cards and ledgers.
• Trains new employees on DASH processing to support divisions.
• Review expenditures and maintain grant/contract funding reconciliations.
• Assist with HR functions and personnel data processes.
