Job description

Are you someone with at least two years of accounting experience looking to work with a great team with growth opportunities? Do you have good excel skills, and experience supporting with accounts payable and accounts receivable in a construction environment? We are looking for an accounting assistant for a new job opportunity in Rancho Cordova, CA. This onsite role would be excellent for someone who can support with different accounting tasks supporting an accounting leader. If you are looking for a new job opportunity and can start right away

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable including invoice review, coding, and vendor payments
• Support accounts receivable functions including invoicing, cash applications, and tracking outstanding balances
• Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries related to AP/AR activity
• Provide general support to the Accounting Manager, including ad hoc reporting and month-end close assistance

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Prior experience working in a Construction strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Excel and general accounting systems
