Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Cleveland, TN is seeking an Analyst, Accounting to manage daily finance operations and internal reporting under the Finance Manager. You will support SOX controls, forecasting, and cost deployment activities, while driving process improvements with cross-functional partners.

Ideal candidates hold a Finance/Accounting degree with 2+ years in finance, preferably in manufacturing, and demonstrate Lean understanding, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 2+ years of finance or accounting experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean principles, tools, and methodologies.
• Identify problems, analyze root cause and implement solutions addressing root cause and minimizing risk.
• Proactive coaching and mentoring to grow competency.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and team building skills.
• Value diversity of ideas, opinions, experiences, backgrounds and perspectives.
• Strong technology skills with Google suite and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Internal Reporting Ownership & Controls with SOX compliance.
• Daily operational reporting (labor, consumable spend, overtime, scrap).
• Forecasting and planning including Profit Plan and monthly outlook.
• Learn month-end journal entries and back-up finance tasks.
• Drive process efficiency to improve data quality.
• Deliver analytical insights to influence business partners.
• Be a World Class Manufacturing (WCM) contributor and support CD Pillar methodologies.
• Lead training to support Cost Deployment activities and cost savings.
