Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Cleveland, TN is seeking an Analyst Accounting to join the Finance team onsite. You will report to the Finance Manager and handle day-to-day finance operations, ensuring SOX compliance and accurate internal reporting.

This Role In Summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for a Analyst Accounting. This is an onsite role at our Cleveland, TN location.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Analyst is a key position that is responsible for the day to day Finance operations. This position ensures that all daily activities within the Finance Department are customer focused and performed in a manner consistent with achievement of the plant and finance vision, goals and objectives.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Internal Reporting Ownership & Controls
  • Ensure strict adherence to all Whirlpool manufacturing standards and SOX controls
  • Daily operational reporting (labor, consumable spend, overtime, and scrap)
• Forecasting and Planning
  • Provide near and long-range forecasting (including Profit Plan) to enhance strategic decision making (strategy planning, annual profit plan, and monthly outlook)
  • Learn month-end journal entries & other finance tasks as backup to other finance team members
• Manage and Drive Process Efficiency
  • Drive improvements in key financial processes to optimize efficiency and quality of data
• Drive Analytical Insights for Process Partner
  • Deliver analytical insights and influence decision-making by influencing business partners
  • Establish relationships with process partners in the finance organization that facilitate effective collaboration and drive positive change in our processes
• Key member of World Class Manufacturing (WCM)
  • Be fully competent in CD Pillar Methodology
  • Lead and assist in training to support Cost Deployment activities
  • Drive cost savings by identifying gaps through resource allocation decision and analysis, capital requisition and cost management

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 2+ years of finance or accounting experience
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills And Experiences

• Ability to work autonomously with little oversight and make prudent and informed decisions, often quickly and with limited information
• Strong understanding of Lean principles, tools, and methodologies. Proven track record in driving continuous improvement via lean tools (World Class Manufacturing experience)
• Must be able to identify problems, analyze root cause and implement solutions that address the root-cause and minimize business risk
• Proven ability to grow individual and organization competency through proactive coaching and mentoring
• Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
• Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution and team building skills
• Value diversity of ideas, opinions, experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives needed to foster a competitive global business environment
• Strong technology skills, particularly with the Google suite of applications and SAP
