Job summary

Kamatics, Bloomfield, CT, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. You will execute general accounting, ledger management, and financial reporting while upholding GAAP and data integrity.

This role supports the Accounting Manager and participates in process improvements. Responsibilities include month-end close, cash receipts reconciliation, AR collections, intercompany reconciliation, and coordination with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline.
• Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency with Excel (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries, and analyze accounting transactions to ensure proper classification in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Process and reconcile cash receipts from lockbox deposits, ACH, and wire transfers to the ledger.
• Drive accounts receivable collection efforts; evaluate customer creditworthiness; recommend new or revised credit terms; and monitor accounts receivable aging against open orders to identify and escape credit risks.
• Monitor, reconcile, and resolve intercompany transactions and settlements.
• Collaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support audit activities.
• Partners with cross-functional teams to exchange information, troubleshoot issues, and support business needs.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and process effectiveness.
• Supports special projects or assignments from other business units as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
