Job summary

inSync Staffing is seeking a Sr. Accounting Analyst II to support day-to-day manufacturing costing, E&O reserves, gross margin analysis, and duties and freight accruals. The role includes supporting ERP upgrade UAT.

You will perform month-end analyses, reconciliations, journal postings, and quarterly reviews, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. You should have strong US GAAP knowledge and the ability to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with Master’s; or PhD with experience.
• Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP) is a plus.
• CPA certificate and relevant industry accounting experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team to expedite tasks with other functional groups.
• Must have a process improvement mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to adjust schedule due to dynamic business environment.

Job description

Reporting to the Associate Director, Accounting, the Sr. Accounting Analyst II will support day-to-day accounting operations for manufacturing costing, excess and obsolete (E&O) reserves, gross margin analysis, and duties and freight accruals. The analyst will also support user acceptance testing for designated areas as part of ERP upgrade.

Responsibilities:

• Support the protection of company assets by performing month-end account analyses, reconciliations, journal entry postings, and quarterly reviews.
• Perform cost accounting activities including manufacturing variance capitalization, excess and obsolete (E&O) reserves, gross margin analysis, and record accruals for duties and freight.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for ERP upgrade in designated areas.

Requirements:

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years of experience; or equivalent work experience
• Experience with SAP (or equivalent ERP system) is a plus.
• CPA certificate and relevant industry accounting experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical projects with other functional groups

• Knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; MBA and/or CPA a plus
