A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial operations, inventory accounting, and business performance analysis. This position will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and partnering with cross-functional leaders across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and finance.

What You'll Be Doing
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger activity.
- Assist with the preparation of internal financial reporting and management analysis.
- Participate in audit support and compliance-related activities.
Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting
- Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory activity, and product profitability.
- Monitor inventory valuation and support cycle counts and physical inventory initiatives.
- Investigate cost variances and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Partner with operational leaders to improve reporting and drive cost efficiencies.
- Assist with overhead calculations and budgeting assumptions related to production activities.
Business Partnership & Analysis
- Deliver financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Evaluate pricing, margins, and profitability trends across products and customer channels.
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and business planning activities.
- Develop reporting and analysis to enhance visibility into business performance.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify risks and opportunities impacting financial results.
Revenue Programs & Operational Finance
- Support customer incentive, rebate, commission, and pricing programs.
- Review program performance and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Perform reconciliations and analysis related to customer agreements and incentive structures.
- Partner with sales and finance teams to maintain accurate reporting and program administration.
Payroll & Process Improvement
- Support payroll accounting activities, reconciliations, and related reporting.
- Assist with year-end compliance requirements and employee-related financial reporting.
- Identify process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Contribute to special projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or consumer products environment preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including complex formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Experience working within an ERP environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational teams.
- Self‑starter who can manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing cost accounting
- Inventory and supply chain finance
- ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling exposure
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience, skill set, and overall qualifications.
