Job summary

The Technical College of the Lowcountry is seeking an accounts faculty member to deliver instruction across traditional and online formats, including Zoom. The role involves classroom management, developing syllabi and lesson plans, and regularly assessing student progress while maintaining attendance and grade records.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in Accounting or at least 18 graduate hours in accounting.

Qualifications

• Master's in Accounting or 18 graduate hours in accounting required.
• Experience delivering instruction via hands-on, Zoom or online formats preferred.
• Ability to manage classroom activities and prepare reports, syllabi and lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction including hands-on, Zoom and/or online delivery.
• Classroom management and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Assess student progress and maintain records of attendance, grades and progress.
• Recommend instructional materials for courses and collaborate with tutoring, retention, and other college services.
• Attend professional meetings and represent the College in community and professional settings.

Job Duties:

Teaching Responsibilities

• Provide instruction including hands-on, Zoom and/or online delivery
• Classroom management and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development
• Assess the accomplishment of students on a regular basis
• Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and progress

Instructional Development

• Recommend for approval instructional materials for a course(s).
• Work with other areas of the college as needed such as tutoring, retention, etc. to help ensure student success

Professional Development

• Attend relevant professional meetings
• Represent the College positively in interactions with the community and with professional and academic groups at the local, state, and national levels
