Job summary

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an Accountant Technician 2 in Student Services to support the Director of Finance by monitoring financial activity across multiple departments and funding sources. The role includes preparing recurring financial reports, performing routine analysis, and coordinating corrective actions.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma with 3+ years of financial records maintenance experience or an equivalent combination, and may serve as a Workday

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and three years of financial records maintenance experience including reporting and accounting duties.
• OR One year of experience as an Accountant Technician I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor financial activity across multiple Student Services departments and funding sources.
• Prepare recurring financial reports and routine analysis.
• Identify fiscal issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Serve as division-level technical resource for Workday and other fiscal processes.
• Resolve non-routine transactions and accounting issues; provide guidance to departmental staff.
• Help establish consistent fiscal procedures and controls across the division.
