Job description

Vaco Phoenix is currently assisting a top client in their search for a Senior Bookkeeper in their Phoenix, AZ office. This role involves handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and all financials for multiple entities. It is a direct hire, fully onsite position with a salary of up to $80k per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Oversee daily transfers, reconcile accounts, manage the line of credit, and process payments (checks, ACH).
  2. Review commission structures, update benefits and tax deductions, and assist with Open Enrollment, COBRA, and disability claims.
  3. Monitor expenses, royalties, and profit distributions; compile month-end financial reports.
  4. Support the accounting team, review financial reports, manage court and bankruptcy filings, approve franchise documents, and process 1099 forms.
  5. Maintain employee records, process wage and PTO adjustments, and respond to requests from state agencies.
  6. Assist with audits, corporate filings, and franchise agreement processes.
  7. Manage company assets, including vehicle registrations, AMEX cards, and related reimbursements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  1. 10+ years of experience.
  2. Sole Contributor, Family Business environment.
