Job summary

Austin Industries is seeking an Accountant II in Dallas, Texas to assist and sometimes lead the accounting/finance team with accurate and timely financial records. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on month-end close, financial reporting, and budgeting activities.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 3+ years of accounting experience; Master’s or CPA candidate is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Master's degree or CPA candidate preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Completes month-end activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and SG&A analysis.
• Prepares periodic reports and financial statements.
• Assists with budgets, forecasts and projections.
• Supports internal and external audits.
• Maintains contact with jobsites, regional offices, and departments to meet company goals.
