Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road, part of Austin Industries, seeks an Accountant II at our Coppell, Texas headquarters. The role focuses on job cost accounting, general ledger, and reporting within a large, employee-owned construction group.

Responsibilities include reconciliations, monthly close, budgeting, and cost analyses, with collaboration across field and project teams. Candidates should have a bachelor’s in accounting/finance and 3+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• General ledger accounting including reconciliations.
• Monthly accounting close process, contract profit review and analyses.
• Various reports and analyses (including KPIs and business metrics).
• Periodic forecast and budgeting processes.
• Job cost responsibilities including project setup, budget uploads and change orders.
• Monthly job billing and cost reviews.
• Support field operations including field office managers and project managers.
• Assist in external and internal audits.
• Completes ad hoc requests.
