Job summary

CECO Environmental is seeking an Accountant II, Accounting Services to perform transactional and operational accounting duties for the Americas region, applying US GAAP and internal controls to close the period and support audits.

This role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 3+ years of experience, proficiency in Excel and Word, and strong communication. CPA encouraged; minimal travel; ERP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3+ years of experience required.
• Proactive advocate of change through analysis of business processes.
• Advanced Excel and Word skills with strong written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process in accordance with US GAAP.
• Participates in transactional accounting for the Americas region and other areas as assigned.
• Prepares general ledger entries with supporting documentation.
• Prepares & reviews reconciliations from general ledger, other departments, and external sources.
• Analyzes general ledger account fluctuations.
• Interprets the meaning of accounting records, reports, and statements.
• Responds to accounting and financial questions through research and interpretation.
• Provides internal and external audit support including work papers and audit inquiries.
• Assists with SOX control testing and documentation.
• Implements and follows current accounting procedures.
• Participates in initiatives and special projects as required.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature.
