Job summary

Beasley, Mitchell, & Co is seeking an Accountant I to provide entry-level accounting and advisory services to a diverse client base, including private businesses and government entities. You will support daily accounting, financial reporting, and audit-readiness activities under the CAAS team.

The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and assisting in month-end closings, with exposure to GAAP and advisory deliverables. Travel is required as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
• N/A
• 1 year of public accounting or related accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day accounting and transactional services for clients.
• Assist with month-end, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Prepare journal entries and account classifications.
• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Assist with audit readiness and client documentation.
• Support GAAP financial reporting and advisory work.
