Job summary

Staff Financial Group in Peachtree City, GA is seeking an experienced professional to own the monthly and quarterly close for a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients. You will coach staff accountants, onboard new clients, and work with the CAS Manager and tax team to keep engagements on schedule and tax-ready.

You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality financial reporting and client service, while meeting multiple deadlines in a dynamic public accounting environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of public accounting experience, including CAS
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and the monthly close
• Experience preparing financial statements for multiple clients
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel
• Clear client communication and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly and quarterly close for a portfolio of outsourced accounting clients, including reconciliations, accruals, journal entries and financial statements
• Act as a day-to-day contact for clients and explain their financial results in plain terms
• Help onboard new clients, including chart of accounts setup, cleanup and catch-up work
• Review staff accountants' work and coach them
• Work with the CAS Manager and the tax team to keep engagements on schedule and tax-ready at year-end
