Job summary

Americold is seeking a Senior Accountant in Atlanta to execute general ledger processes, prepare monthly journal entries, and reconcile balance sheet accounts. You’ll serve as a liaison between corporate headquarters and field accountants, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 1 year of Accounting experience required.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Execute general ledger accounting processes from end-to-end, including preparation of monthly journal entries.
• Conduct reviews and reconciliations of monthly balance sheet accounts, with a focus on cash reconciliations.
• Serve as liaison between corporate headquarters and geographically distributed field accountants for assigned sites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to develop budgets and forecasts and perform variance analyses.
• Analyze financial data and problem solve related to assigned areas and accounts.
• Execute key internal controls and support auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit.
• Assist with special projects such as technical accounting research and integration of newly acquired facilities.
• Other essential duties may be applicable and assigned as necessary.
