Job summary

Origin Mining Company in Minnesota is seeking an Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you will maintain accurate financial records, support the close process, and collaborate with operations to ensure timely recording of inventory and costs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 2+ years of accounting experience, solid GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP and Excel. IFRS exposure and public accounting background are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred; associate degree with substantial accounting experience considered.
• 2+ years of accounting experience; working knowledge of GAAP; IFRS preferred.
• Experience with an integrated ERP and financial-reporting environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general journal entries with complete supporting documentation.
• Maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure accurate inventory and cost recording.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements and AR/AP functions as needed.
• Utilize Excel to analyze financial data and support business decisions.
