Job summary

Origin Mining Company is seeking a skilled Accountant to maintain financial records, support close processes, and provide analysis across operations. Reporting to the Controller, you will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and assist with audits while collaborating with finance and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting experience, a solid grasp of GAAP (and IFRS), and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; assoc degree with experience may be considered.
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP; IFRS preferred.
• Experience in mining/manufacturing/construction desirable.
• Experience with integrated ERP and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Assist with financial statements, analyses, and variance explanations.
• Record inventory and operating costs with operations and supply chain.
• Assist with year-end audit requirements and AR/AP functions as needed.
• Maintain Fixed Assets subledger and related processes.
• Utilize Excel to analyze financial data for business decisions.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Adapt to changing priorities and pursue professional development.
