Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to ensure accurate, timely accounting information. You will maintain general ledger accounts, determine journal entry requirements, and post journal entries during monthly close.

You will perform daily and monthly reconciliations, analyze transactions, investigate variances, and support cross-functional teams while applying GAAP guidance. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s or CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• 1 year of accounting or financial reporting experience
• Master's degree or CPA preferred
• Strong data analysis skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely compilation of accounting information; maintain general ledger accounts and determine journal entry requirements, posting entries during month-end close
• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations for all assigned accounts
• Analyze and investigate transactions for accuracy and completeness
• Research management questions; explain variances to expectations and trends
• Participate in cross-functional teams and improve XPO’s processes and documentation
• Review, interpret and apply GAAP and other guidance to contracts, transactions, and activities
