Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant, General Accounting to join our team. You will manage end-to-end accounting for fixed assets, CIP, SIP capitalization, and SOX compliance, partnering with site managers and corporate reporting.

The role requires 1–2 years of ledger experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Sage, SAP, Oracle, and Prophix. Travel about one week per month is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 1–2 years of progressive general ledger and accounting experience.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge: Fixed Assets, ASC 360, and software capitalization (ASC 350-40).

Responsibilities

• Oversee fixed asset accounting, asset activity, and system updates in Sage.
• Manage the monthly SIP calculation and capitalization tracking.
• Execute month-end close procedures and provide corporate reporting.
• Support SOX controls and audit requests.
• Collaborate with site managers and FP&A to resolve reconciling items.
