The Salvation Army in Oregon seeks an Accountant to perform data entry for DHQ Finance, ensuring policy adherence while guiding staff in best practices. The role involves journal prep, AR/AP processing, and monthly reconciliations, using Shelby and VIVID software.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma and 2+ years in accounting; an associate/bachelor degree or accounting certification is preferred. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with 40 hours/week at $27.50/hour.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or accounting certification preferred.
• Two years’ accounting experience; more for advanced roles.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in development and training of best practices.
• Audit preparation.
• Journal preparation.
• Processing and data entry of Corps Accounts Receivable and Payable in a timely manner.
• Processing check batches and voucher review for policy and GL coding.
• Understand Chart of Accounts and coding practices.
• Mentor and review Corps staff.
• Assist with quarterly reconciliations and reporting.
• Perform miscellaneous duties related to Finance operations.
