Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory – Cascade Division is seeking an Accountant to perform data entry for the DHQ Finance Department, ensuring policy adherence and guiding staff. The role requires strong Excel/Word/Outlook proficiency and experience in accounting.

This full-time, non-exempt position in Finance offers an hourly wage of $27.50 for 40 hours per week, with duties including journal prep, AP/AR processing, reports generation, and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree or Accounting Certification preferred.
• Two years' experience in accounting; two to four years in advanced accounting preferred.
• Experience with Shelby and Vivid software preferred.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and training of best practices.
• Audit preparation.
• Journal preparation and data entry of Corps accounts receivable/payable.
• Processing check batches and reviewing vouchers for policy and GL coding.
• Mentor and review Corps employees; assist with quarterly reconciliations.
