Position Title:
Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for an Accountant 1. This position is responsible for processing accounting transactions such as accounts payable, journals, IUJS, wires, and daily deposits. Responsible for preparing and processing accounts receivable transactions that include state property damage, vendor overpayments, and miscellaneous invoicing, ensuring transactions are billed timely and recorded in the financial system. Provides customer support to internal and external customers. Performs account and system reconciliations. This position is part of a career ladder with career advancement opportunities. This position reports to the Accounting Processing Section Supervisor. Other MDT office locations may be considered based on available office space.
The successful candidate must pass a name-based background investigation as a condition of employment.
