Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an Accountant in Norfolk, VA. The role records routine and non-recurring accounting entries, reconciles to the general ledger, and prepares financial statements and reports. It also conducts routine and special project financial analyses.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, with CPA preferred. At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, and expert Excel skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration required.
• Certified Public Accountant is preferred.
• 2 years of related accounting experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliation to GL, and financial statements/reports.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $65,665.60 - $99,507.20 annually.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
