Job summary

Tri-National Logistics LLC in Missouri is seeking an entry-level Accountant/Accounting Assistant to support the Controller and Senior Accountant. A BS/BA in accounting and up to 2 years of accounting experience are required, with advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities include daily banking, GL entries, intercompany transactions, and AP/AR support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can multi-task under deadlines, and is a team player willing

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete daily banking requirements.
• Assist with monthly financial statements.
• Make monthly general ledger entries for accruals/prepayments.
• Prepare schedules and backup for annual audit.
• Understand financial reporting and GL structure.
• Complete intercompany transactions.
• Support AP transactions.
• Support AR activities including cash application and customer accounts.
• Respond to inquiries from President and VP of Finance.

This position would be direct support to the Controller and Senior Accountant in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department. A BS/BA and up to of 2 years of experience in Accounting are required. We are looking for candidates who are detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Excel. Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete the daily banking requirements.
• Assist with completion of monthly financial statements.
• Make monthly general ledger entries for various accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare schedules and provide requested backup and explanations for the annual audit.
• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
• Complete intercompany transactions.
• Support accounts payable department, including processing A/P transactions.
• Support accounts receivable department, including cash application and managing customer accounts.
• Respond to inquiries from the President, and VP of Finance regarding financial results.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required.

Skills and Qualifications

Education

• BS/BA in accounting is required

Requirements

• Up to 2 years of experience in Accounting is required.
• Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel with an emphasis on vlookup and pivot tables.
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining exceptional accuracy, is required.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills.
• Willingness to be a team player – doing whatever is necessary to get the job done.
• Experience with intercompany transactions a plus.
• Quickbooks or AS400 knowledge a plus.
