Job summary

FS.COM in Delaware is seeking an entry-level Accountant to support day-to-day bookkeeping, bank and account reconciliations, accounts payable, and month-end close activities. Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bookkeeping and accurately record financial transactions.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Record and review invoices, expenses, payments, and other accounting transactions.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Review transactions for accuracy, proper account classification, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Compare accounting records with bank statements and supporting documents.
  • Research and resolve outstanding or unusual transactions.
  • Assist with the monthly closing process.
  • Review account balances and identify unusual or incorrect transactions.
  • Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and other month-end journal entries.
  • Ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Assist with audit and tax preparation by providing supporting documentation.
  • Communicate with internal departments and vendors regarding accounting-related questions.
  • Assist with improving accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Summary

Preferred Skills

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
