Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize valuable workflows based on customer value, frequency, complexity, and accounting risk.
• Represent different user personas, defining how workflows and review requirements differ for business owners, bookkeepers, and finance leads.
• Specify expected calculations, accounting treatments, and supporting evidence for QuickBooks Online (QBO) records.
• Create realistic evaluations, including business scenarios and test datasets, to assess accounting outcomes.
• Review completed outcomes to ensure accuracy and reconciliation of records.
• Diagnose failures and guide improvements by identifying errors and turning findings into actionable requirements.
• Help establish appropriate controls for agent interactions and decision-making.
• Enhance the overall experience by reviewing agent communications and user guidance.

Immediate need for a talented Accountant. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Mountain View ,CA(Hybrid). Please review the job description below.

Pay Range: $95 /hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and prioritize valuable workflows based on customer value, frequency, complexity, and accounting risk.
• Represent different user personas, defining how workflows and review requirements differ for business owners, bookkeepers, and finance leads.
• Specify expected calculations, accounting treatments, and supporting evidence for QuickBooks Online (QBO) records.
• Create realistic evaluations, including business scenarios and test datasets, to assess accounting outcomes.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Advanced QBO expertise across multiple businesses or complex workflows; QBO ProAdvisor certification is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with software product teams, conducting user acceptance testing, or developing quality standards.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation, scoring rubrics, or reviewing AI-generated financial analysis.
• 5+ years of substantial hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience supporting small and midsize businesses.
• Working proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO), including transaction recording, account reconciliation, and financial report interpretation.
• Ability to independently verify accounting outcomes in QBO and investigate discrepancies.
• Strong analytical skills with comfort in working with spreadsheets and structured datasets.
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer requests into explicit requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Clear communication skills to explain accounting reasoning to both professionals and non-accountants.
• Curiosity about AI tools and a willingness to critically test their behavior.
• Effective collaboration skills with product, design, and engineering teams.
