LHH in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client-facing team. You will leverage AI-assisted tools and automation to improve accounting workflows, accuracy, and client service while applying solid accounting fundamentals.

The role involves reviewing AI-generated work, preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and assisting with tax returns for business clients. Strong communication with clients is essential, along with attention to detail and proactive process improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, client accounting services, or a related field.
• Strong fundamentals in financial statements, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to work confidently with clients.
• Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and recurring accounting activities.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted tools and automation in accounting.
• Ability to evaluate AI outputs and exercise professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve accounting workflows and efficiency.
• Review AI-generated and system-assisted accounting work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and sound professional judgment.
• Analyze financial information to identify inconsistencies, unusual activity, missing information, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end accounting.
• Assist with the preparation of entity income tax returns for business clients.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, resolve issues, and provide practical financial insights.
• Improve processes related to monthly close, financial reporting, client follow-up, recurring compliance activities, and tax preparation.
• Document standardized processes, workflows, and procedures to promote consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal team members to enhance service quality, turnaround times, and the overall client experience.
