Job summary

Innovative Service Providers, based in Metairie, LA, is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day financial activities, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and support strategic planning. You will maintain ledgers, prepare statements, and coordinate with departments to keep financial information accurate and timely.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience, proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite, and strong analytical skills. CPA is a strong plus; CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification is a strong advantage (preferred).
• 3–5 years of accounting or financial management experience.
• Experience in a service-based or staffing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor financial activity and identify discrepancies or areas requiring further review.
• Ensure accounting records and processes are maintained in accordance with GAAP and applicable company procedures.
• Support the development and maintenance of internal accounting controls and financial procedures.
• Assist Management with financial analysis and information needed to support business decisions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation and records.
• Support external accounting, tax, audit, or financial reporting requirements as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
• Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned based on business needs.
