Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions including AP/AR, GL, payroll, and financial reporting; prepare budgets and forecasts.
  • Publish financial statements on time and ensure accuracy of records.
  • Close monthly, quarterly, and annual books.
  • Reconcile accounts payable, bank statements, and financial data.
  • Compute taxes and prepare corporate tax returns.
  • Maintain balance sheets and P&L statements; report on liquidity and cash flow.

Job description

We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on the financial position,liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring the company is compliant with all tax.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting Prepare budget and forecasts.
  • Publish financial statements on time.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
  • Reconcile accounts payable, bank inventory, assets and accounts receivables.
  • Ensure timely bank payments.
  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
  • Review financial transactions and documents before submission to auditors for annual review.
  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
  • Develop and implement efficient accounting processes and procedures to ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Keep up to date with current accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary changes to accounting practices within the company.
  • Collaborate with business line managers and heads of department to forecast business performance, plan budgets, and assess the impact of financial decisions.Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insight to business line managers and heads of department on financial performance, identifying areas of opportunity for improvement

Requirements

3-5 years experience.

Experience in tax advice and computation of corporate and property tax is a plus

Experience with external auditors as well as GRA auditors

Experience of online accounting software
