We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This position offers an incredible opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial operations and contribute to our long-term success. As a Permanent Accountant, you will be at the heart of our financial activities, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of our financial information.

Responsibilities

• 1. Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• 2. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports, ensuring comprehensive compliance with regulatory and reporting standards.
• 3. Supervise the preparation and detail review of balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis.
• 4. Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• 5. Lead the ERP implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition and optimal utilization of the system.
• 6. Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights for decision making.
• 7. Coordinate with external auditors providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• 8. Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• 9. Participate in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for senior company leadership.
• 10. Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

Qualifications

• 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• 3. Proven experience in financial reporting, general accounting, and ERP implementation.
• 4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• 5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel, and experience with accounting software.
• 6. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• 7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.
• 8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• 9. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 10. Experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
