Job Details
Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Coordinating with external auditors during periodic audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided and all queries are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Utilizing accounting software and ERP systems to maintain financial records and prepare reports.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for senior management, highlighting any significant variances and trends.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal financial controls and procedures to enhance the company\'s financial health.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Participating in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
