Assignment will likely be extended up to 18 months.

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented IT Purchase Order Accountant to support the purchase order creation and vendor setup process. The resource will review Excel-based PO request forms, enter and validate information in Ariba, track purchase order and vendor setup activities, and communicate with cross-functional business partners to resolve missing or unclear information.

Key Responsibilities

• Review completed Excel purchase order request forms and supporting documentation to ensure all required information is provided.
• Identify missing or unclear information and follow up with the appropriate business partners.
• Accurately enter required information into Ariba and create purchase requisitions/purchase orders.
• Track PO and vendor setup requests, maintain status updates, and escalates delays or issues when necessary.
• Respond to business partner inquiries regarding existing and upcoming purchase orders.
• Partner with the Invoicing team to transition existing contracts to the new purchase order methodology.
• Initiate new vendor registrations in Apex based on business partner-provided information.
• Maintain organized documentation and ensure accurate, timely processing of requests.

Systems & Tools

• SAP Ariba – Enter requisition details and create purchase orders.
• Apex – Initiate new vendor registrations.
• Microsoft Teams/Email – Communicate with business partners and internal teams regarding requests, missing information, status updates, and escalations.

• Ability to review information, identify discrepancies, and follow up effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and business systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ariba experience is preferred but not required.
