Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team in the United States. The role focuses on month-end close, financial reporting, and audits within a healthcare context.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Accounting with CPA in progress or active, 4–6 years of accounting/finance experience, and familiarity with GAAP and accruals. ERP experience with Workday/Oracle/Sage Intacct is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required or strongly preferred.
• CPA certification active or in progress.
• 4–6 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting and accruals.
• Experience supporting cross-functional areas (Finance, HR, Legal).
• Exposure to capital transactions or revenue cycle operations.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Workday, Oracle, or Sage Intacct.

Responsibilities

• Prepares month-end close reports (balance sheet, P&L).
• Analyze trends and assist with internal/external audits.
• Perform routine and correcting journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage monthly close schedule and ensure timely completion of steps.
• Generate monthly close reports including revenue/expense analysis and budget-to-actual analysis.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and audit workpapers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares/assists in preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements and other financial reports related to month end close
• Analyzing trends and coordinating and assisting with internal and external audits
• Performs routine and correcting journal entries and account reconciliations for the more complex accounting areas
• Manages monthly close schedule and verifies that all steps have been completed in a timely fashion
• Generates monthly reports after close, including revenue and expense analysis and budget to actual analysis
• Assists in preparation of ad-hoc projects, prepares audit workpapers and requests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (strongly preferred over Finance)
• Active CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA
• 4 to 6 years experience in Accounting /Finance or related area
• Experience in healthcare industry strongly preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting and accruals
• Experience supporting cross-functional areas such as Finance, HR, Legal, and strategic initiatives
• Exposure to capital transactions, investment activity, revenue cycle, or similar financial operations
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems, such as Workday, Oracle, or Sage Intacct
