Job summary

PSC Motorsports is seeking an Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate books, timely payments, and clean financial reporting. The role collaborates with leadership and teams to support growth and a scalable finance framework.

You will handle AP/AR, GL reconciliations, and month-end processes, while leveraging Avalara AvaTax and QuickBooks to maintain compliance across multi-state transactions.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in accounting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online).
• Experience using Avalara AvaTax for multi-state sales tax compliance preferred.
• Strong operational understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger functions.
• Experience supporting month-end close and basic financial reporting.
• Comfortable working with accounting systems, ERP/ecommerce platforms, and spreadsheets.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a plus (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and on time.
• Issue customer invoices, apply payments, and monitor aging reports.
• Follow up on outstanding balances and maintain clean AR.
• Assist with reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Support ongoing account reviews to ensure clean, reliable financial data.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for leadership and external accountants.
• Help ensure financial reports and records are accurate, timely, and audit-ready.
• Manage sales tax setup, reconciliation, and reporting using Avalara AvaTax.
• Review tax calculations for ecommerce and dealer transactions.

What You’ll Do

As our Accountant, you’ll be the steady hand behind PSC’sday‑to‑day financial operations. You’ll keep our books accurate, organized, andcompliant — ensuring invoices get paid, accounts balance, and reports tell aclear story. From managing AP and AR to supporting month‑end close and salestax compliance, you’ll work closely with leadership and internal teams to keepthe financial side of the business running so the rest of the team can stayfocused on building great products and continued company growth.

Your Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Processvendor invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and on time.
• Issuecustomer invoices, apply payments, and monitor aging reports.
• Followup on outstanding balances and help maintain clean AR.
• Researchand resolve billing discrepancies with vendors, customers, and internalteams.

General Ledger & Reconciliations

• Assistowner with reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheetaccounts regularly.
• Postjournal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Supportongoing account reviews to ensure clean, reliable financial data.

Month-End & Reporting Support

• Assistwith month-end and year-end close activities.
• Preparesupporting schedules and documentation for leadership and externalaccountants.
• Helpensure financial reports and records are accurate, timely, andaudit-ready.

Sales Tax & Compliance (AvaTax)

• Managesales tax setup, reconciliation, and reporting using Avalara AvaTax.
• Reviewtax calculations for ecommerce (Shopify) and dealer transactions.
• Assistwith multi-state filing requirements as the business expands.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Partnerwith ecommerce, operations, purchasing, and leadership to supportfinancial needs.
• Provideclear, helpful responses to accounting-related questions.
• Supportprocess improvements and documentation as systems and sales volume grow.

General Accounting Support

• Maintainorganized financial records and digital documentation.
• Supportaudits, proactive reviews, and special projects as needed.
• Performadditional duties to support the team and overall business goals.

What You’ll Bring
