Job summary

KIPP DC is seeking a Manager of Accountability to oversee internal controls, policy maintenance, charter compliance, and enterprise risk management. The role offers hybrid flexibility, with three days per week onsite at the HDQ in Washington, DC, and an anticipated start date of August 1st.

The starting salary range is $86,280–$93,782, reflecting the organization's commitment to responsible governance and educational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, risk management, charter school accountability, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional projects by collaborating with stakeholders across teams

Responsibilities

• Support the VP of Accountability in designing and executing KIPP DC's annual internal audit cycle, including risk-based audit plans and testing
• Draft and revise policies, review staff handbook, and coordinate publication of updates
• Monitor charter compliance and prepare reports/dashboards for leadership
• Assist in enterprise risk management, analyze risk data, and support insurance and mitigation efforts
• Serve as a point of contact for staff questions on risk, compliance, and policy, and support board/committee reporting
