Role Summary: Responsible for development of messaging, editorial, and other creative content for the Company and assigned clients. Works under general supervision of SVP leading assigned PR team and in compliance with Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Independently writes, co-writes, ghost-writes, and/or edits content for the Company and/or its clients; including bylines, op-eds, press releases, and talking points.
• Creates content that is optimized for AI search and discovery, ensuring alignment with evolving best practices in metadata, keywording, and algorithm-aware copy.
• Proactively identifies new thought leadership angles, timely content opportunities, and ways to expand client visibility across platforms.
• Serves as an alternate point of contact to support client service and ensure continuity in communications and deliverables.
• Works with team members to gather information for a variety of pre-determined writing projects, deliver client-ready copy, and revise existing materials.
• Assists in maintaining consistency of branding and marketing messages across all client materials.
• Assists in updating client content files; including revised messaging, templates, bios, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Acts as a steward of the JConnelly brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company’s core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all client, media and public interactions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education: College degree; or equivalent related business experience

Experience and Expertise:

• Five to seven years content/writing experience, with an emphasis in the financial services sector.
• Working knowledge of AI-driven content optimization, including prompt engineering, keyword alignment, tone control, and structure tuning for algorithmic visibility.
• Experience developing or refining content in alignment with AI search trends, including voice search, featured snippets, and zero-click formats.
• Awareness of ethical considerations and best practices when integrating AI into the content development workflow.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, handle details accurately, follow up, and complete tasks within specified deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in various software applications; including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications.
• Knowledge of PR related software including but not limited to Cision, Meltwalter, Trendkite, Sproute, Hootsuite.
