Job summary

Veros Credit seeks an Account Servicing Specialist to service auto loan accounts that are 30–60 days delinquent, documenting all collection activities in our loan servicing software. In-office roles exist in Santa Ana, CA, Ontario, CA, and Fort Worth, TX, with remote options for Arizona and Nevada.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in collections, is bilingual (English/Spanish), and brings strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the collections field, preferably in the subprime lending industry.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply FDCPA and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and the FDCPA.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers and propose alternative methods.
• Assist borrowers in developing a plan to keep their vehicle while meeting loan obligations.
• Document account information and collection activities accurately.
• Utilize skip tracing tools to locate delinquent borrowers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About The Position

Account Servicing Specialist (30 Days) will be responsible for servicing auto loan accounts that are 30-60 days delinquent and documenting all collection activities utilizing loan servicing software. In-Office position in Santa Ana, CA, Ontario, CA, and Fort Worth, TX. Remote position available for Arizona and Nevada.

Essential Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers, including offering suggestions as to how they can meet their obligations, propose alternative payment methods, and establish payment procedures.
• Assist borrowers in devising a strategy to allow them to keep their vehicle while meeting the obligations of the loan.
• Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities.
• Utilize skip tracing tools and reference sources to identify and locate delinquent borrowers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ year(s) of experience in the collections field, preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team.
• Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Salary

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour + Bonus
