Job summary

Veros Credit is hiring an Account Servicing Specialist (Pre 30’s) to service auto loan accounts under 30 days delinquent. This in-office role spans Santa Ana, CA; Ontario, CA; and Fort Worth, TX, with remote options for Arizona and Nevada.

You will document activities in loan servicing software, negotiate payment plans, and help borrowers stay in their vehicles while meeting obligations. A FDCPA-aware, detail-oriented professional with 1+ year in collections is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in collections or similar roles is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills are required.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws and regulations (FDCPA) in collections.

Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and FDCPA.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and suggest alternative methods.
• Assist borrowers in strategies to keep their vehicle while meeting loan obligations.
• Document account information and collection activities accurately.
• Use skip tracing tools to locate delinquent borrowers.
• Other duties as assigned.

About The Position

The Account Servicing Specialist (Pre 30’s) will be responsible for servicing auto loan accounts that are less than 30 days delinquent and documenting all collection activities utilizing loan servicing software. In-Office position in Santa Ana, CA, Ontario, CA, and Fort Worth, TX. Remote position available for Arizona and Nevada.

Essential Responsibilities

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).


• Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers, including offering suggestions as to how they can meet their obligations, propose alternative payment methods, and establish payment procedures.


• Assist borrowers in devising a strategy to allow them to keep their vehicle while meeting the obligations of the loan.


• Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities.


• Utilize skip tracing tools and reference sources to identify and locate delinquent borrowers.


• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements

• 1+ year(s) of experience in the collections field, preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry.


• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations.


• Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team.


• Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed.


• High School Diploma or GED.


• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Salary:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour + Bonus
